What are the common classifications of vaginitis?

The female vagina is located in a relatively hidden position. In daily life, if it is not kept clean, it is easy to cause some gynecological diseases. Among them, vaginitis is the most common gynecological disease, and there are many causes. It often causes itching of the vulvar skin, burning sensation, pain, and often causes urination pain, etc. If you do not pay attention to treatment and conditioning, it may even induce serious gynecological diseases. There are also many types of common vaginitis, such as candidal vaginitis, nonspecific vaginitis, etc. If you have vaginitis, you must go to the hospital for diagnosis and examination in time, and then receive symptomatic treatment to avoid further harm to your health.

The following are the common types of vulvitis among young female friends:

(1) Fungal vulvitis:

Vulvitis caused by a type of yeast infection often coexists with candidal vaginitis.

(2) Acute vulvar ulcer:

Vulvitis is mostly caused by various reasons and is generally a manifestation of the vulvitis process.

(3) Sexually transmitted diseases:

During the development of sexually transmitted diseases such as vulvar condyloma acuminatum, chancroid, genital herpes, gonorrhea, etc., the vulva often shows signs of inflammation.

(4) Bartholinitis:

It is more common in women of childbearing age because the Bartholin's glands are infected by bacteria such as Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, and Escherichia coli, and often cause acute inflammation. Bartholin's gland cysts are mostly caused by long-term chronic inflammation that blocks the Bartholin's gland ducts, accumulates glandular fluid, and causes cystic expansion of the glands; or because pus is absorbed after the acute Bartholin's gland inflammation subsides. Bartholin's gland cysts and Bartholin's gland abscesses can transform into each other.

(5) Nonspecific vulvitis:

Stimulation from physical and chemical factors in life, lack of attention to hygiene and physical weakness can cause bacteria to invade women's vulva and cause vulvitis such as cervical and vaginal inflammation; or wearing non-breathable nylon underwear causes excessive vaginal secretions to stimulate the vulva; urine soaks the vulva.

Many diseases are treatable, so don't get discouraged. Finally, experts remind female friends that using unqualified sanitary napkins or toilet paper during menstruation can also cause vulvar infection, and this behavior is conducive to the growth of bacteria and can cause the condition to worsen. Therefore, patients must pay attention to menstrual hygiene issues during menstruation.
