Is dysmenorrhea caused by uterine cold? What causes dysmenorrhea?

Female friends are not unfamiliar with dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea is a common physiological phenomenon, but dysmenorrhea is also a type of disease, which is irregular menstruation. There is a certain relationship between dysmenorrhea and uterine cold. Secondly, it is also directly related to some gynecological diseases, such as pelvic inflammatory disease, endometritis, etc. Is dysmenorrhea caused by uterine cold?

There are many factors that cause dysmenorrhea, such as:

(1) Cervical stenosis mainly causes obstruction of menstrual outflow, causing dysmenorrhea.

(2) Uterine hypoplasia. Poor uterine development is prone to abnormal blood supply, causing uterine ischemia and hypoxia, leading to dysmenorrhea.

(3) Abnormal uterine position. If a woman’s uterus is extremely retroflexed or anteflexed, it may affect the smooth flow of menstrual blood and cause dysmenorrhea.

(4) Psychological and neurological factors: some women are overly sensitive to pain.

(5) Genetic factors: a daughter’s dysmenorrhea is related to her mother’s dysmenorrhea.

(6) Endocrine factors: Menstrual abdominal pain is related to increased progesterone in the luteal phase.

(7) Gynecological diseases, such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, etc. It is currently believed that increased levels of prostaglandins in the endometrium and blood are the main cause of dysmenorrhea. Because a large amount of prostaglandins have an excitatory effect on the uterus, they can cause strong contractions of the uterine muscles, uterine ischemia and hypoxia, and produce more severe pain, thus causing dysmenorrhea. Similarly, large amounts of prostaglandins can also cause gastrointestinal muscle contractions, so women with dysmenorrhea may also experience gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.
