Is the chest-knee position effective in correcting the position of the uterus?

The chest-knee position is a common method to correct the position of the uterus and can correct the position of the fetus. You can perform such exercises under the guidance of a doctor. Through good exercise, you can achieve the purpose of correcting the fetal position. The exercise method is also relatively simple. Generally speaking, good results can be achieved by persisting for a week. Always seek your doctor's approval before exercising.

The knee-chest position is a method to correct the fetal position of pregnant women. The pregnant woman urinates, empties the bladder, loosens her belt, and kneels on the bed. The thighs are perpendicular to the bed and the body is leaning towards the bed. Twice a day, about 15 minutes each time, for 1 week. The knee-chest position can make the fetal buttocks move out of the pelvic cavity, which helps to correct the fetal position by changing the fetal center of gravity, so that the fetal head is downward and the fetal buttocks are upward.

Specific posture of chest-knee position

(1) The pregnant woman kneels on the bed in a prone position with her hands flat on the bed and her legs shoulder-width apart.

(2) Keep your chest and shoulders as close to the bed as possible, with your face facing one side of your body.

(3) Bend your legs and make your thighs perpendicular to the bed.

Maintain the above posture for 2 minutes. After you become proficient in the movements, you can increase it to 5-10 minutes. Do it 2-3 times a day. It can help expectant mothers correct the fetal position, but pay attention to the following points:

(1) This chest-knee position is only suitable for pregnancy between 30 and 34 weeks.

(2) Before practicing the chest-knee position, it is best to seek the doctor's consent. If the examination shows that the fetal position is abnormal, the doctor will give certain suggestions.

(3) Go to the bathroom before practicing and wear loose clothing during practice.

The chest-knee position is a commonly used method to correct the fetal position in the late pregnancy. As long as you stick to the correct method, it will be effective after a week.
