The reason why there is blood in the vaginal discharge when going to the toilet

Nowadays, women have a high chance of suffering from gynecological diseases. Some women always say that they feel uncomfortable here and there. Such symptoms will bring a lot of troubles and harm to women's bodies. If there is blood in the leucorrhea after going to the toilet, then the possibility of gynecological diseases cannot be ruled out. So what is the reason for blood in the leucorrhea after going to the toilet? Let's take a look below.

1. Ovulation bleeding

Generally speaking, some women will experience ovulation bleeding during their ovulation period, also known as mid-menstrual bleeding, which refers to a small amount of bleeding between two normal menstrual periods, which may be accompanied by varying degrees of lower abdominal pain. This is a physiological condition where there is blood in the leucorrhea.

2. Gynecological diseases

If there is blood in the leucorrhea, you should consider the possibility of gynecological diseases: cervical polyps, acute vaginitis, severe cervical erosion, senile vaginitis, cervical cancer, submucous uterine fibroids, endometrial cancer, especially if there is blood in the leucorrhea after sexual intercourse. In mild cases, it may be cervical inflammation. Due to vascular congestion, small blood vessels rupture during sexual intercourse, causing bleeding. Severe cases may be early clinical manifestations of cervical cancer.

3. Improper sexual intercourse

Improper sexual intercourse, failure to use the correct posture during sex, or excessive friction can also cause blood in the leucorrhea. Because having sex during the ovulation period, especially for newlyweds in their honeymoon period, often causes the woman to have bloody vaginal discharge due to excessive intimacy. In fact, this is a normal phenomenon. Because in the middle of the menstrual period, which is the ovulation period, the estrogen level in the female body drops briefly, causing the endometrium to lose hormonal support and partial shedding of the endometrium, resulting in regular vaginal bleeding. The bloody vaginal discharge at this time is also called ovulation period bloody vaginal discharge, but it has another name in traditional Chinese medicine, called intermenstrual bleeding.

4. Other reasons

Leucorrhea with blood is sometimes caused by the placement of an intrauterine contraceptive ring. However, it can improve after anti-inflammatory treatment, and most of the cases are sporadic. A very small number of hypertensive patients may occasionally have bloody vaginal discharge due to vascular sclerosis and rupture.

What tests are needed for leucorrhea with blood?

1. Clue cell examination

You can go to the hospital for a clue cell test, which is a direct way to check for bacterial vaginosis.

2. pH value check

Generally speaking, the vagina of a normal woman is slightly acidic because it can prevent the reproduction of pathogenic bacteria. Once a woman has a bacterial infection, her pH level will increase.

3. Amine test

Perform an amine test on a woman's leucorrhea, and if the reaction is positive, a corresponding judgment can be made.

4. Inspection of fungi and trichomonas

When you have completed the fungus and trichomonas examination and found a "+" on the test sheet, it means that you have been infected with trichomonas or fungi, and the degree of infection needs to be determined by the doctor.

Now you know why there is blood in the leucorrhea when women go to the toilet. If there is blood in the leucorrhea, then you should pay attention to it. Many times, the signs of gynecological diseases in women start with leucorrhea. Women's leucorrhea also determines whether there are abnormalities in the female body or some unhealthy symptoms. If the leucorrhea is bloody, then you should seek symptomatic treatment in time.
