What are the symptoms of non-gonococcal cervicitis

Cervicitis is a common gynecological disease among female friends. However, cervicitis caused by non-gonococcal virus infection should not be taken lightly. This disease is much more serious than the general type. It is not only harmful but also contagious. Therefore, it must be detected early to prepare for treatment. So what are the symptoms of non-gonococcal cervicitis?

Typically, the symptoms of non-gonococcal cervicitis infection are mainly: serous or mucopurulent leucorrhea. With the naked eye, the cervix may be swollen and brittle, bleed easily when touched, and follicles may be visible; or there may be no symptoms at all.

Patients with non-gonococcal cervicitis often have a history of extramarital sexual contact. Or the spouse has a history of urethritis infection. The clinical manifestations include abnormal vaginal discharge, lower abdominal discomfort, urgency and pain when urinating, etc., but a considerable number of patients have mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. Gynecological examination reveals cervical congestion and edema, easy bleeding when touched, and increased yellow viscous secretions.

According to the criteria for MPC in the Diagnostic Criteria and Treatment Principles for Sexually Transmitted Diseases of the Department of Disease Control of the Ministry of Health of my country: Clinically, female cervicitis symptoms such as cervical congestion and edema, easy bleeding when touched, mucopurulent secretions, and an average of >10 polymorphonuclear cells per field of view in cervical swab smears under a 1,000x microscope are used as clinical observation indicators. Once the clinical diagnosis of MPC is established, pathogen testing should be performed if conditions permit, so that targeted treatment can be carried out after the cause is found. Regarding the pathogens of mucopurulent cervicitis, scholars at home and abroad currently believe that the main ones are Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

The cervical secretions caused by non-gonococcal cervicitis are yellow and sticky secretions that are tightly attached to the cervical opening and difficult to wipe off. If there is cervical congestion and edema, and blood is easily found when touched, accompanied by purulent or mucopurulent secretions, Uu, Mh, CT and gonococcal examinations should be performed in time for targeted treatment to prevent serious consequences such as endometritis, cervical embolism, miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility. Uu, Mh, and CT are sexually transmitted, and their sexual partners should be examined and treated at the same time to prevent recurrence and stop the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.

Through the above introduction, everyone is very clear about the symptoms of non-gonococcal cervicitis. In fact, many diseases will threaten and affect human health and life safety, especially this sexually transmitted disease must not be taken lightly. Any infectious disease needs to be prevented in advance to avoid the spread of the virus.
