Can I drink liquor during my period?

There are many things you need to pay attention to during your menstrual period, because you will bleed a lot during your menstrual period, so you will feel weak all over and even have intermittent pain in your abdomen. But nowadays, women love drinking more and more, and have developed a bad habit of drinking every day. Some female friends even drink during their menstrual period, and drink alcohol as if it were water.

Male friends should all know something about white wine. It has a high concentration, and those who are not good at drinking usually dare not touch it. At most, they can drink some red wine. The most important thing is that white wine tastes very spicy, and most people will blush after just a small sip. So can you drink liquor during menstruation? The following will explain it to you in detail!

During menstruation, due to constant bleeding, the body is weak and the resistance is poor. Drinking alcohol will speed up blood circulation, which may lead to increased menstrual flow. If you drink cold beer, it may also cause dysmenorrhea. Therefore, in principle, you should avoid drinking liquor when your period is approaching or during your period. Of course, you can drink a small amount of wine (about 50ml is appropriate), but not too much.

Women have fewer enzymes involved in alcohol metabolism in their bodies, so their ability to break down acetaldehyde is weaker. In addition, during menstruation, due to the influence of female hormone secretion, the secretion of alcohol-degrading enzymes will decrease, thus reducing the rate of alcohol decomposition. As a result, the alcohol cannot be excreted but becomes an acidic substance. To neutralize these substances, the liver has to continuously produce enzymes, which eventually increases the possibility of causing liver dysfunction.

When women's menstruation comes, the activity of degrading enzymes decreases, the ability to metabolize alcohol decreases, and if metabolism slows down, the time spent in a drunken state will be longer and the feeling of drunkenness will be more severe. Therefore, drinking before menstruation can easily become addictive and often becomes the trigger for alcohol poisoning.

Even if you really like to drink liquor, you have to wait until after your menstrual period. After all, drinking is harmful to the body, and women should also know how to care for and protect themselves. When it comes to drinking, men and women behave differently. Men are not easily poisoned by alcohol, but women are very easy to be poisoned by alcohol, and it will cause some adverse effects on the liver.
