Investing Analytics: Twitter activity survey shows that Apple is still more popular than Samsung

Although Samsung's mobile phones have been shining in the past two years, it is not so easy to really replace Apple in people's minds. Recently, Gene Munster, an analyst at PiperJaffray, conducted a survey on the attention levels of iPhone 5 and Galaxy S4 on Twitter after their release. According to data provided by Investing Analytics, after Apple released the iPhone 5, there were nearly 2.4 million Twitter posts about this phone, while Galaxy S4 only had a pitiful 440,000 posts - although this number has increased compared to S3, it seems a bit overestimating its capabilities compared to iPhone 5.

Munster believes that this set of data shows that the popularity of Samsung mobile phones is increasing, while Apple continues to be the biggest focus of consumers.

However, if you dig deeper, you'll find that the S4 is more optimistic than the iPhone 5 - 81% optimistic about the former and 73% optimistic about the latter.

Of course, it is a bit one-sided to judge the popularity of the two mobile phones based solely on Twitter. After all, not everyone who is looking for the next mobile phone will submit messages on Twitter.
