What hot compress should I use for dysmenorrhea

Many women suffer from dysmenorrhea. Working for a long time in a stressful environment, mental stress, bad work and rest habits, hormonal influences, eating cold food, etc. can cause dysmenorrhea. Dysmenorrhea can have a great impact on women's work and life. Using a hot water bottle to apply to the abdomen, rubbing your hands to heat it up, and then massaging the abdomen, soaking your feet in hot water can relieve the symptoms of dysmenorrhea. What other methods are there?

Method 1: Taking vitamins

Many patients experience little pain when they take adequate amounts of vitamins and minerals each day. So I recommend taking a multivitamin and minerals, preferably calcium and a low dose several times a day.

Method 2: Supplement minerals

The minerals calcium, potassium, and magnesium also help relieve pain. Experts found that women who took calcium had less pain than those who did not. Magnesium is also important because it helps the body absorb calcium efficiently. It may be desirable to increase calcium and magnesium intake during and after menstruation.

Method 3: Eat less caffeinated foods

Coffee, tea, and chocolate contain caffeine, which can make you nervous and may cause menstrual discomfort. Coffee also contains oils that irritate the small intestine.

Method 4: Alcohol

If you are prone to edema during your period, drinking alcohol can exacerbate the problem. Do not use diuretics; many women believe that diuretics can reduce menstrual swelling and discomfort. In fact, diuretics will excrete important minerals and water out of the body, so you should reduce your salt and alcohol intake, which will cause the body to retain water.

Tip 5: Keep warm

Keeping the body warm will speed up blood circulation and relax muscles, especially the spasmodic and congested pelvic area. Drink more water. You can also put a heating pack or hot water bottle on your abdomen for a few minutes, or use moxa sticks on your abdomen. This method is very effective in relieving dysmenorrhea.

Method 6: Do some exercise

Especially right before your period, walking or engaging in other moderate exercise can make your period more comfortable.

Method 7: Practice yoga

Practicing yoga can also help relieve dysmenorrhea, such as kneeling with bent knees and sitting on the heels. Rest your forehead on the ground and stretch your arms out at your sides. Hold this position until you feel uncomfortable.

Method 8: Taking analgesics:

When dysmenorrhea begins, take painkillers with milk or food. Effective painkillers will take effect after 20-30 minutes and last for 12 hours without pain. However, this method is somewhat harmful to the body. If the pain can be tolerated, it is recommended not to use it.

When you have dysmenorrhea, put a hot water bottle in your stomach, or lie in bed and use heating pads or other heating methods to relieve dysmenorrhea! Experts point out that using hot blankets and hot water bottles to treat dysmenorrhea has many effects.
