Is the structure of the female genitals complex?

There are essential differences between women and men, and there are huge differences both physiologically and psychologically. The female body structure is too complicated compared to that of men because women have a complex reproductive system, and the genitals are the most important part of the female reproductive system and the tissue that identifies the female gender. Is the structure of the female vagina complex? Let’s take a look at the explanation below.

Female internal reproductive organs include: vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries

1. Vagina - It is the channel for sexual intercourse, menstruation and fetal delivery. It is the passage connecting the vulva and uterus, and is between the bladder, urethra and rectum.

2. Uterus - is a cavity organ shaped like an inverted pear, slightly flattened front and back, located in the center of the pelvis. It is divided into two parts: the body and the neck. It is the place where the fetus is conceived and menstrual blood is formed. The uterus is shaped like a pear, a muscular, hollow organ located in the pelvis. It is triangular in shape when viewed from the front and contains a layer of endometrium.

3. Fallopian tubes - a pair of long, curved tubes, about 12 cm long, that can transport sperm and eggs and are the main site for egg fertilization. The fallopian tubes are two thin tubes located above the uterus. They each extend from the upper end of the uterus to the ovaries and connect to the ovaries to receive the eggs discharged from the ovaries. The fallopian tube is where the sperm and egg meet for fertilization, and the materials in the tube also nourish the fertilized egg that will be transported to the uterus.

4. Ovaries - oval in shape, are a pair of organs that produce eggs and secrete female hormones. They have reproductive and secretory functions. The size of an adult female's ovaries is about 4×3×1 cm and weighs about 5-6 grams.

The vagina is a line of tubular muscular tissue that connects the vulva to the uterus. There is a network of microvessels distributed within its muscles, which expand and become filled with blood during sex. Normally the vaginal walls are tightly closed and only expand when using tampons and during childbirth.
