Do I need to stay in bed after artificial insemination?

In modern life, fertility issues have gradually become an important factor affecting people's lives, because fertility problems are caused by environmental deterioration and increased stress on people. Many people cannot achieve their reproductive goals through natural behaviors. Therefore, they can only rely on modern medical technology to solve them. For example, artificial insemination is a very popular method. Do women need to stay in bed after artificial insemination?

After artificial insemination, you can go home directly. You don’t have to lie in bed after returning home. You can do housework as usual. However, you must avoid strenuous exercise such as running and jumping on the same day. You can take a bath on the same day, but you are not allowed to bathe in a bathtub. The lack of lytic enzyme directly leads to the failure of sperm liquefaction. First, the sperm is taken out, liquefied, and then injected into the woman's fallopian tube.

Artificial insemination will be completed within 2-3 minutes. If you leave the examination table immediately, the semen that has been injected with great difficulty will flow out of the vagina. After the end, the woman should close her knees tightly, slightly raise her legs, and lie quietly in this position for more than ten minutes (Note: the semen used in artificial insemination is currently washed and concentrated into about 0.3 ml before being injected deep into the uterus. The chance of it flowing out is rare, so there is no need to lie still for a long time). The most important thing to note when performing artificial insemination is that the injected semen cannot flow out.

The success rate of artificial insemination is not 100%, and is even relatively low, generally only 20%-30%. Moreover, delivering healthy and strong sperm into the female body is not necessarily successful. After all, conception is a complex physiological process. But at the very least, the following conditions must be met!

1. Women's ovaries can discharge normal and healthy eggs;

2. The husband's or the third party's semen is normal and contains healthy sperm;

3. The egg and sperm can meet and combine to form a fertilized egg;

4. The fertilized egg enters the uterine cavity smoothly;

5. The endometrium is ready and suitable for the fertilized egg to implant.

These five steps are necessary conditions for successful fertilization. Any abnormality in any link can hinder a woman's successful pregnancy. The failure factor can be on the female or male side. It is recommended that couples who want to undergo artificial insemination go to a professional hospital for consultation and examination, and make a decision based on the results and symptomatic treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
