Signs before menarche

Signs before menarche

Many people do not understand what symptoms will occur before menstruation, so they think that there are actually no other symptom changes before menstruation. However, this idea is wrong. The patient's hormones will reach a peak before menstruation, so there will be leucorrhea, and the body will feel weak during this time, and there will be some pain in the abdomen.

According to your description, this is leucorrhea.

This is mainly because the ovaries begin to develop after puberty and secrete estrogen to promote the development of the reproductive organs, and leucorrhea begins to appear at this time. During each menstrual cycle, the quality and quantity of leucorrhea changes as the secretion of estrogen varies.

Generally, the secretion of estrogen reaches its peak between two menstrual periods (equivalent to the ovulation period). Excessive estrogen stimulates the cervical glands to secrete more mucus, so the leucorrhea at this time is abundant, transparent, sticky like egg white and can be pulled into threads, and the vulva feels moist.

After the ovulation of the follicle, progesterone increases and inhibits the secretion of cervical mucus. At this time, the leucorrhea is less in amount and thicker. In the few days before and after menstruation, due to pelvic congestion, vaginal exudate increases, and leucorrhea also increases slightly. Because it contains more exfoliated cells, the leucorrhea is turbid.

Here are three ways to help predict your first menstruation:

1. Measure weight and height: After girls enter puberty (11-14 years old), measure their height and weight every six months. If a measurement reveals a sudden increase in height and weight, it indicates that the girl may have her first menstruation in the next six months.

2. Observe the condition of the breasts: If you find that the breasts begin to develop, swell and develop areolas, and there is a hard lump when touched, then menarche will occur within the next two years.

3. Check for leucorrhea: If a transparent, colorless, odorless and slightly viscous liquid like egg white flows out of a girl's vagina, it indicates that the first menstruation will come in 2-3 years. Your situation should be that your menstruation is about to come.
