Teenage girls have not yet fully developed, and their vagina is in a closed stage at this time, and they are protected by the hymen, so they are not prone to diseases. However, some young girls will experience vulvar itching in their teens. In this case, you need to check whether there is inflammation, bacterial infection or vaginal malnutrition, which are all causes of itching.

1. Local causes

(1) Special infections: Candidal vaginitis and Trichomonas vaginitis are the most common causes of vulvar itching. Lice and scabies can also cause itching. The itching around the anus and vulva of young girls caused by enterobiasis usually only occurs at night.

(ii) Chronic vulvar dystrophy: The main symptom is severe itching, accompanied by whitening of the vulvar skin.

(iv) Bad hygiene habits: Not paying attention to the local cleanliness of the vulva, sebum, sweat, menstruation, vaginal secretions, and even urine and feces can cause long-term stimulation of the vulva and cause itching; using rubber or plastic menstrual belts during menstruation and wearing non-breathable chemical fiber underwear at other times can induce itching due to the accumulation of damp heat.

Tumors can cause vulvar itching.
