Postpartum knee pain

When a mother gives birth to a baby, there will be bleeding and excessive force, which will cause great harm to the mother's health. Although the mother will take care of the baby after giving birth, the mother has to take care of the baby day and night, feed the baby, and do many other things during the confinement period. This will not allow the mother to get a good feeling. Many mothers will experience knee pain after giving birth.

Experts say that knee pain after childbirth is caused by postpartum rheumatism. Postpartum rheumatism refers to a disease characterized by soreness and pain in muscles and joints caused by rheumatic cold evil after childbirth or after artificial abortion. The main symptoms of this disease are pain in muscles and joints throughout the body, fear of wind and cold, but there is no redness or swelling in the affected joints and muscles. Some patients often have headaches, dizziness, fear of wind, orbital pain, dry eyes and excessive tears. Some patients also have a drilling feeling in the joints and muscles. Therefore, patients with postpartum knee pain must pay attention to it.

Knee pain is a postpartum disease

Postpartum knee pain is mainly caused by factors such as cold knee joints and fatigue during the postpartum period. The symptoms of postpartum sickness are varied. Patients may experience soreness, numbness, coldness, chills, heaviness and fatigue in the joints, hands, feet, waist, shoulders and soles of the feet.

What to do with postpartum knee pain

Prevention is better than cure, so mothers must pay attention to keeping warm during the confinement period. Once knee pain or other joint pain occurs, it is best to wear some warm cotton clothes or wrist guards. It is easy to develop a chronic disease after catching a cold, so keeping warm is the most important thing. If your joint pain is severe, it is best to seek medical attention.

1. Pregnant women are prohibited from having sexual intercourse within one month after giving birth, otherwise it may endanger their lives. To be on the safe side, you can only do it after 100 days.

2. Maintain a good mood, don’t be angry or irritable, be open-minded, and think less.

3. Pregnant women should not engage in excessive activities during the confinement period, nor should they stand or sit for long periods of time, so as to avoid overwork and the leaving of illness.

4. Pregnant women should be moderate in their diet during the confinement period, not overeating or starving, and not eating raw, cold, or spicy food. They should not eat too much food other than grains at one time, and should not go on a diet for fear of obesity.

5. Pregnant women should not wear slippers, short-sleeved clothes or short skirts during the confinement period. They should wear a hat when going out in spring, autumn and winter. After sweating, they must wait indoors to dry before going out. They should not use cold water to wash their face, hands, feet or take a bath (including in summer).
