What is ovulation period and safe period

A normal and healthy female uterus has a certain cycle and it will ovulate regularly, which is what people often call menstruation. There is an ovulation period and a safe period between the menstrual periods each month. It is easiest for women to get pregnant when they have sex during ovulation. On the contrary, it is less likely to get pregnant when they have sex during the safe period. Next month, I will give you a detailed introduction to what ovulation period and safe period are.

A woman usually releases only one egg during one menstrual cycle, and the egg's ability to conceive (i.e. survival) is only 24-48 hours after it is released from the ovary (waiting for fertilization in the fallopian tube). The lifespan of sperm in the female reproductive tract is about 2-3 days, so conception is possible if sexual intercourse is performed 2-3 days before ovulation and 1-2 days after ovulation. This period is called the fertile period, also called the "dangerous period" or the conception period.

Ovarian ovulation usually occurs within 2 days before or after the 14th day of menstruation (the specific ovulation period is calculated according to the menstrual cycle), and the ovulation day is usually the few days in the middle of the two menstrual periods. It is impossible to conceive during the period when ovulation does not occur. When ovulation occurs, fertilization can only occur when it encounters sperm.

The safe period is approximately within 10 days after menstruation, and from the 20th day after menstruation to the next menstruation. The closer to the menstrual period, the greater the possibility of contraception.

The safe period is divided into the safe period before ovulation and the safe period after ovulation. The period from the end of menstruation to the day before ovulation is the safe period before ovulation. From the first day after the end of ovulation to the day before the next menstrual cramps is the safe period after ovulation. The safe period after ovulation is safer than the safe period before ovulation. This is because some women sometimes affected by environmental changes and mood swings affect the advance of the ovulation, so before the safe period ovulation will be shortened, but did not know their own, so before the safety period ovulation is not safe. The opportunity that the ovary has two eggs in a menstrual cycle is very rare, that is, after ovulation to the next menstrual cramps before this period of time usually won't happen again the second time of ovulation, so the safety period after ovulation is relatively safe.
