Signs before ovulation

Signs before ovulation

In the previous article, we introduced that if you want to know your ovulation period, you can calculate it. However, many female friends still hope to make judgments through some physical signs. Today we will introduce some signs before ovulation, but we must also remind everyone that, generally speaking, the signs of ovulation are not easy to detect. If you want to know the exact ovulation period, you must consider it comprehensively.

1. Cervical mucus method: In the hospital gynecology department, the cervical mucus is checked to determine whether you are in the ovulation period.

2. Basal body temperature method: Measure your body temperature every morning after waking up. Generally, your body temperature is lower in the first half of your period, and even lower during the ovulation period, and will gradually rise after ovulation.

3. Menstrual period calculation method: Many women do not know when their ovulation period is. Using the following formula, it is easy to calculate after a period of testing.

If you have a regular menstrual cycle, the calculation method for ovulation is:

The first day of ovulation = the number of days in the shortest menstrual cycle minus 18 days;

The last day of ovulation = the longest menstrual cycle minus 11 days.

For example, the shortest menstrual period is 28 days and the longest is 37 days. The shortest regular period is subtracted by 18 (28-18=10) and the longest regular period is subtracted by 11 (37-11=26). Therefore, the ovulation period is from the 10th to the 26th day after the menstrual period.

It is very important for young women to correctly grasp the ovulation period: if you want to get pregnant, start from the first day of the ovulation period and maintain a frequency of having sex every two days. If you persist for a few months, you will generally get pregnant unless there are special circumstances. Women who do not want to get pregnant need to miss having sex during these days. At this time, the ovulation period will be called another term: the dangerous period.

Safe period

A woman's ovulation period is around 14 days before her next menstrual period. Starting from the first day of the next menstrual period, counting down 14 days or subtracting 14 days is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after the ovulation day are called the ovulation period. For example, a woman's menstrual cycle is 28 days, and the first day of this menstruation is December 2nd. Then the next menstruation will be on December 30th (December 2nd plus 28 days). Subtract 14 days from December 30th, and December 16th is the ovulation day. The ovulation day and the 5 days before and 4 days after it, that is, December 11-20, is the ovulation period. Except for the menstrual period and ovulation period, the rest of the time is the safe period.
