What to do if you can't see the gestational sac during pregnancy

Generally, women can see the gestational sac 35 days after menopause. In other words, after a woman is confirmed to be pregnant, the gestational sac can be seen. On the contrary, if pregnancy has been confirmed, but the gestational sac cannot be seen. It may be because of a short period of time for conception or an ectopic pregnancy. Of course, no matter what the situation is, for safety reasons, it is recommended that expectant mothers follow the doctor's advice and respond correctly.

Reasons why pregnancy is shown but gestational sac is not visible

Whether the gestational sac can be seen during pregnancy is related to the time of conception. If the time of conception is short and the test paper or blood test shows pregnancy, the gestational sac cannot be seen by B-ultrasound, it may be that the gestational sac is too small. If the conception takes a long time and the gestational sac cannot be seen in the uterus, but a gestational sac or an echo similar to a gestational sac can be seen elsewhere, it may be an ectopic pregnancy.

How long does it take to see the gestational sac?

The gestational sac is only seen in early pregnancy. For women who have regular menstruation of 28-30 days, after 35 days of amenorrhea, the gestational sac can be seen in the uterine cavity by B-ultrasound. The diameter of the gestational sac is about 2 cm at 6 weeks of pregnancy and about 5 cm at 10 weeks of pregnancy. It is normal for the gestational sac to be located at the fundus, front wall, back wall, upper part, or middle part of the uterus; it is normal for it to be round, oval, and clear in shape; if the gestational sac is irregular in shape, blurred, and located in the lower part, and the pregnant woman also has abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding, she may have a miscarriage.

Generally speaking, the position of the gestational sac does not change after a woman becomes pregnant. After the early gestational sac is implanted and fixed, it is like the root of a big tree. It will not change. The gestational sac then gradually increases in size and splits until delivery.
