The main reason for uterine prolapse after pregnancy is that the ligaments supporting the uterus are abnormal and cannot bear the growing abdomen, resulting in prolapse. This condition is extremely dangerous and must be treated actively. Studies have found that a combination of Chinese and Western medicine is effective. 1. Traditional Chinese medicine treatment before and after the placement of a pessary For first and second degree uterine prolapse, non-surgical treatment can be considered first. According to the theory of syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine, the principle for patients with qi deficiency is to tonify the middle and replenish qi, consolidate and restrain the sunken qi, and use Buzhong Yiqi Decoction with added ingredients. Astragalus 30-50g, ginseng 15g, Atractylodes 15g, Angelica 15g, Tangerine Peel 15g, Cimicifuga 10g, Bupleurum 15g, Citrus aurantium 15g, Leonurus 15g, oyster 20g, licorice 5g, turtle head 1, if accompanied by kidney deficiency and low back pain, add Cuscuta 20g, 1 dose per day, decocted in water, take for 2 weeks as a course of treatment. For those with kidney deficiency, the principle is to tonify the kidney and nourish blood, invigorate qi and lift it up. Use Dabuyuan Jian with added ingredients: 15g of ginseng, 15g of cornus, 15g of wolfberry, 15g of eucommia, 15g of rehmannia, 15g of angelica, 30g of yam, 10g of cimicifuga, 15g of dodder seed, 15g of Polygonum multiflorum, and 10g of liquorice. Decoction in water, 1 dose per day, 2 weeks as a course of treatment. 2. Chinese medicine treatment before and after surgery Patients with third-degree uterine prolapse generally have a long course of illness, severe condition, and poor physical condition. They are not suitable for direct surgical treatment and should first adopt Chinese medicine's syndrome differentiation treatment to adjust the body and strengthen the physical fitness. The principles are to tonify the middle and replenish qi, lift and contract, tonify the kidney and consolidate the deficiency. For qi deficiency type, Buzhong Yiqi Decoction is used as the main ingredient with modifications. When used for the first time, astragalus can be used up to 50-100g, and cimicifuga up to 15g. But after the effect is seen, the dosage should be reduced. For example, for anemia, Rehmannia glutinosa and antler glue can be added to nourish the blood; for those with low back pain, Chuanduan and Eucommia ulmoides can be added; for those with clear and thin leucorrhea, antler frost and cuttlefish bone can be added to warm the kidney and consolidate the deficiency. For those with kidney deficiency, take Dabuyuan Jian with added flavors. If the vital energy is insufficient, the fire of the life gate is weak, and there is more coldness, you can add aconite, cinnamon, dried ginger, etc. to warm the yang and strengthen the kidney. One course of treatment is 2 weeks. After 2 courses of treatment, elective surgery will be performed depending on the patient's physical recovery. To speed up physical recovery and consolidate the therapeutic effect of the surgery after surgery, you can choose Shiquan Dabu Decoction or Guipi Decoction to replenish qi and blood. |
